Looks like it needs some verdigris care. Nice looking, otherwise, and for $15.50 you can afford to give it a bath and a new flip!
A commercial product to treat verdigris. Used properly, it removes grime and verdigris without affecting a copper coin's natural color.
Does it affect the grade on better examples or is it that the coin is in dire need for a "conservation" overhaul and grade isn't a problem?
Conservation should not affect technical grade (unless done wrong). It’s merely about improving eye appeal.
