Thought this one looked good for $15.50. VF something? 1106373C-C14B-4C97-A265-2DADAC0E4DD9_1_201_a.jpeg 1106373C-C14B-4C97-A265-2DADAC0E4DD9_1_201_a.jpeg D09BB7F6-A872-4801-9E73-09F4539C141D_1_201_a.jpeg

Hard to tell inside the flip, but any straight grade even in low
    condition is 2 and 3 times 15.50.

Looks like it needs some verdigris care. Nice looking, otherwise, and for $15.50 you can afford to give it a bath and a new flip!

For $15.50 you did good. It looks to be an N-18. Common die pairing.

verdicare will for sure be used. Not thinking the date position matches N-18.

Solid buy at the price. Very good deal, in fact. Should look pretty good after Verdicare.

OK, I give up. What is verdicare?

A commercial product to treat verdigris. Used properly, it removes grime and verdigris without affecting a copper coin's natural color.

Does it affect the grade on better examples or is it that the coin is in dire need for a "conservation" overhaul and grade isn't a problem?

Conservation should not affect technical grade (unless done wrong). It’s merely about improving eye appeal.
