Some ebay sellers sell some of their coins for way too much money, but I've never come across one where the seller truly believes his Lincoln cent is worth a stupid outrageous amount of money! His coin description takes the cake, he's out there! https://www.ebay.com/itm/3954049664...62DyWmTsgJTvUxW17+oNGv6OTQ==|tkp:BFBMxriF-OVm
"of extreme and utter rarity of the greatest rarity" - stay in school, kids. Their other listings are a hoot.
Well I'm sure it's worth something but $50,000 sounds a bit... overly optimistic to say the least. It's only a scam if someone actually pays that lol.
Made a report and within 12 hours got the usual "doesn't violate ebay policy" as review by a supposed CS agent. I wonder if enough people who've been duped or had their sales ruined by the sales of all these fakes were to file a class action suit against ebay (for a ridiculously large amount) would it finally get their attention. Their turning a blind eye is obviously hurting this hobby.
Oh, you guys don't understand: This is a 1908s VDB. That date is one whole year before the Lincoln Cents were first issued! This just screams R - A - R - E. So many of us have so little faith in extreme and utter rarities of the greatest rarity...sad.
