    1971's are tough coins, I don't care if they made billions. Made me go back and look at mine again. Took me decades of intense searching to find these.

    These things are all so softly struck in the portait. The mints were producing billions and it was all about numbers. 99.9% of the billions are garbage.

    TOUGH coin, for some reason these always look like they went through a meat grinder straight from the mint. I opened many OBW rolls, the 70's are frustrating. This is the best one I found, it has very nice appeal which is rare for the 70s. lol Even the best one I've found has some deep nicks.

    I did manage a find some nice toners from the 1970's in my gem quest. Sometimes an OBW gives back some encouragement!

    Here is a cent that even after the bit of corrosion (since cleaned) is covered in plating blisters. Still doesn't have any exposed Zinc.
