After perusing the new designs for 2026 I think I'm looking forward to the new dime the most. The current design is long overdue for an update. It's really the first upcoming coin for general circulation that I've been excited about in a while. What coin(s) are you excited about?

I could lean that direction, since as you've mentioned the dime has yet to see any sort of redesign. Going one step further I hope (wish?) that the mint would use the opportunity as they have with the nickel in 2006 and the cent in 2010.

I was a rabid young collector in 1976 and was seriously revved up when the Bicentennial designs came out, but then we hadn't really seen anything new other than the Ike dollars for decades. I got revved up over the state quarters too.... But now I find it hard to get excited over a new design. I hate that but I feel like I been redesigned to death since the state quarters...... However I am on board with a new dime design so I guess that will be the one I look forward to seeing.

I don't mind the redesigns, even for a one year implementation. What I don't like is when they go nuts at the mint like they did with the new Morgans and Peace dollars and have six varieties of each.

The dime is definitely my favorite also, mainly because they went back to a lady Liberty design - I really would love to see them do the same on the other circulating coins; leave the presidents on the currency.

Most people probably won't even notice. You know, non-collectors.

They'll probably notice, Sal, but they'll think they're counterfeits. How many times have we seen that before...new designs can be confusing to the non-collector.

I agree and think it brings back a little old world charm. Just a good looking coin. This will be one I'll want in proof silver for sure.

Off or on? You said “leave the president’s on the currency but you’re looking forward to a Lady Liberty design. I’m confused.

I'm not impressed by the reverse. It's too "busy" for a small coin, and the eagle looks a little like a vulture and carries only arrows for war and not arrows and olive branches, which historically denoted strength both in peace and war. Maybe that's a sign of our times. It's been a long time since there was any extended period of peace for America. Funny thing, though, they didn't ask me for my input.

Love the dime, but it's a one shot thing. The half dollar I'm looking forward to, not just in 2026, but to see how it turns out in 2027.
