I don't have one. Hey, maybe Santa will bring me one or two or more even, what do you think?

This one looks more like a Halloween decoration than a CWT….

Santa used to be able to afford Civil War token when I was selling them as a dealer. Nice common ones, in EF and AU used to sell for $10 to $20. I was shocked recently when I saw dealers asking $50. They are not cheap any more.

I have a few HTTs and CWTs in my collection. One of my favorites is this "Gold Beater" HTT that I photographed with axial light.

Look this one up in Fuld3. It’s the plate coin for the A3 variety. R9

Here is one of the most popular New England Civil War token varieties, the salamander press token. I bought this one many years ago when I lived near Boston. There are about 15 of these pieces known, the last I checked.

The obverse with the dog and "Good for scent" is now a big deal with many collectors. They have Mint State examples, which a paired with another die up to over $3,000. This one used to grade EF. It's probably an AU now, given the way grading works.

Great token, John Milton, and I have seen pictures of some of the desktop salamander embossing tools too. I guess Good for a Scent is Merriams most famous token.
