Picked this up yesterday because I thought it interesting. I had noticed the clash marks immediately, which are fairly strong, and then some faint die cracks and beginnings of possible cuds. There's also a large amount of polishing lines, particularly on the obverse. You probably won't be able to see them until I upload some pics from my scope (they're very light) but I don't want to wait that long to share this one!

Once I am able to get those other pics up, you'll also notice something going on with the date. I can't tell if it's just die deterioration, machine doubling, longacre, or something else, so once those are uploaded it would be greatly appreciated if you would share your opinion on that!

Without further ado, here it is! She's got a bit of a cameo look to her, too, especially a bit on an angle.

Nice Clash! I have a 1866 that I think is one also...

Now that is a clash worth bragging about. Even with my poor eyes that is strong as heck.

The sad part is that my phone doesn't capture everything that you can see with a loupe. Even the scope pictures are tough to get right. Holding it on an steady angle while trying to get a picture (which takes a couple seconds of exposure) is not an easy process! But the simple, cheap loupe shows so much more.

That clash stands out even in a photo. It reminded me of the gold coin I have that’s clashed.

Neat. Yep, the 3cN series often comes with some pretty prominent clashmarks.

What a beautiful coin. I think all the errors make it even more appealing. They set it apart from other examples.
