Nice design on the discontinued cent/penny. I'm sure the folks bidding on the 2025 final cents will be thrilled to see they can bid again on the next final cent. Lmao
@masterswimmer, I'm sure the folks bidding on the 2025 final cents will be thrilled to see they can bid again on the next final cent. Now that is funny
I personally feel the mint got it right this time. The dime and quarter designs are extremely well done; I am excited to start finding them as they emerge. With all of the bad pub the mint gets I for one applaud them for doing well on what I feel is a very important historical issue.
I agree, they're a very nicely designed set of coins that celebrate the 250th. Kudos to the mint. Bruce
I really like the Mayflower Compact Quarter Reverse. It reminds me of some of the classic commemorative half dollars. I see they reused a lot of previous coin designs.
I don't like the obverse of the Revolutionary War quarter. They made George look like he's ticked off about something.
Liberty dime and Mayflower quarter I like. I have the 2020 Mayflower 400th Anniversary Silver Reverse Proof Medal that the quarter would match with in my collection.
Looks like the mint may get some of my money this next year. I haven't bought anything from there since early 2020. I bought the silver proof set before the price spike. These special gold coin and silver medal sets include the "250" Liberty Bell privy mark as well: (1) 1916 Mercury Dime Coin & Medal Set (2) 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter Coin & Medal Set (3) 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar Coin & Medal Set (4) 1804 Silver Dollar Coin & Medal Set (5) 1907 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle Coin & Medal Set
Is this the end of the Kennedy half dollar? In 2027, the dime will revert to the immediately previous design. The 2027 reverse designs for the quarter and half dollar will celebrate Youth and Paralympic Sports as part of a new four-year program.
website states a Design change for the half dollar. I also read that the 2025 Limited Edition Silver Proof set is the last year for it.
I like the gold releases and the designs, but with the price of gold and the US MINT's premium on these .... no go for me. I wish the Medal had the exact same design as the gold coin. I would buy all of them if that was the case but I don't like the medal designs.
We'll have to see what silver offerings they have for 2026. At least one silver proof set of the circulating coins would be nice.
Not bad, I'll give them a B+. Madison looks creepy and George is giving us the evil eye and the nickel is still the same weird nickel and the zincoln is a zincoln. But half of the quarters, the dime and the half aren't too bad. Can't imagine what the silver and gold will cost next year. Hoping I can swing another year of the silver proof set. Gold will be out of the question.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and speculate that maybe he was. People don't revolt because they're in their happy place.
