Here is a small piece, 11 mm and only 0.95 grams. There is no lettering. It looks a lot like a small coin, but without lettering I suppose it might be a token. I hoped I could identify it, but months have passed and I am at a loss. Does anyone out there know how to identify it?
This is the closest I've found but there are style differences and this coin is larger. I wish mine was that good. I tried again this morning to take another picture, but it didn't come out any better. Maybe later.
I am not sure if anyone have worked with hogs before, but they are very intelligent, can attach to a human as a pet (like a dog), and can be incredibly mean when provoked. I wonder why there were no "War Hogs" since you always see tough Boars featured on ancient coins, art, etc. in hunting scenes, etc.
It is hard to get pigs to fight. However, Alexander the Great may have used them in combat for they are great at spooking war elephants. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_pig
LOL, fantastic! I should have Wiki'd first before I opened my mouth. Hogs can be nasty critters when you get them angry! They will kill you!
