The US Mint is fabricating another scarcity. They didn't do this for the coin collectors that support their premiums. They did it for their billionaire friends. I started buying from the mint in 1959. I quit about 5 years ago.
Here are the auction lots. https://auctions.stacksbowers.com/a...lf-of-the-united-states-mint-lots-10001-10232 I'm guessing these will sell in the range of most of the 230 2024 230th anniversary Flowing Hair dollars, the previous time that the mint pulled this gimmick. Somewhere in the $30k range. https://auctions.stacksbowers.com/a...-united-states-mint-lots-11001-11230?limit=96 Could I afford a set if I really wanted to stick my neck out? Possibly. Except for... I'm not interested, I have no one to brag about it with, I'm guaranteed to lose money on it, and I'm not going to support these stupid manufactured rarity stunts by the mint. So there! Now get off my lawn.
