My one A. Severus is a little overcleaned, but nothing a little natural toning over the next few years can't fix.

Cool thread and great coins. I have a Severus Alexander that I picked up recently for $14.50 plus $5 for shipping still under $20. Mainly for the Pax reverse. RIC 67 Another I've had for a while. Aequitas reverse. RIC 127
You know @panzerman , if you lived near me and had a one day "Examine my Collection" event where you charged admissions to see your collection in a secure area, I would happily pay up to $100 to see and hold some of your coins in person. The collection is that good. I've seen good museums that don't even have 1/3 the quantity and quality of your ancient gold collection.
Thanks Sallent! If, you ever come up to Canada and your going to Toronto/Montreal....I would be in close proximity. I love have you come down for FREE and serve you food/drinks! And i promise not to take you anywhere near my insect collection! Plus, I would also show you my Worldwide AV material 600 coins/ plus my US/Canada obsolete/Comfederate banks....all are UNCIRCULATED CHOICE/GEM/BETTER> One stipulation though, it would have to be during Winter months when I am UNEMPLOYED! John
I'll keep that in mind. You never know. I've not been to Canada yet, so that's definitely in the long term plans. Plus I'd love to catch some of your famous winter weather. Being in Florida I don't get to see snow except on TV.
Aside from your ancient collection, I'd love to see these. I've collected Civil War artifacts since I was a little kid. Mostly Confederate its a family thing.
Here's one with one of the more unusual reverses: Seller's pic again - for some reason I can't seem to resize this one. Severus Alexander denarius c. 230 AD IMPSEVALE XANDAVG, laureate head right VICTORIA AVGVSTI, Victory standing right resting foot on helmet and inscribing VOT / X on shield RIC IV 219, RSC III 566a
It was buying a coin of Severus Alexander that fist got me into ancients and still one of my favourites. I still try to find Mars types on a very sporadic basis I occasionally stumble across oddities that I add when I find them. Obv:– IMP C M AVR SEV ALEXAND AVG, Laureate head right Rev:– VIRVS AVG, Virtus standing right, holding reversed spear and victory Unlisted This reverse type is not known for Antioch
