I don't think it's a problem with cutting. The back is well centered, the front is not, so I would think it is an alignment issue. But as mentioned above, it's not enough to give it any extra value. $2. In terms of 1976 dollars, the $2 today is worth only about 35 cents (source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, CPI Inflation Calculator).
