Well was looking to fill a few more common dates in my Morgan set I have yet to fill and came across this fairly common 1881p selling at list. After looking at the sellers and NGCs pics I decided it was undergraded and I was quite happy with it for list price of the grade it wears :D

So make it a dbl guess... Labeled grade VS true grade lol I say it that way because I expect most of you will agree with me that it's undergraded (not uncommon with 81s)

I'm seeing it as an MS 63 (I could see it eking out a 64 but the chatter on the cheek and reverse above the Eagle would make me hesitate).

Looks like a 63 to me. Love the die crack on the left reverse. James

I am woefully lacking on my Morgan skills but I’ll take a stab at MS63.

Looks like a borderline 63/64. I'm guessing the label says MS-63.

I’m at 62 with all the bag marks in prime locations.

I would guess the slab has 62 but your grade is 64

MS62, Just not sure that it could eeck out another grade. The contact on the cheek nose and eye are pretty severe.

Labeled as AU-58, your assessment as MS-63?

MS63 for the frosty coin, don't have a clue on the label.

even more interesting I can't be sure of the VAM (33 or 34 is my present belief) but I've gone through every 81p vam at Vamworld and not one of them has that die crack on mine... I might just have a "discovery piece" if I want to go through the effort lol :D

If you take some up-close pics of the pup areas I'll be happy to try my hand at confirming any vams, so long as I can stay awake after eating this delicious turkey dinner :shame:

ok it's early still but since it's turkeyday I'll pop this up now :D
As expected you guys mostly agree with me thinking 63/64 but she got slapped with a 62 and for 62 list price I'm more then happy with her lol
