So I stopped in an antique store today, One that has a lot of dealers move in and out, the lady directed me to a new sellers case. I found these two sitting in there unopened. I have never found these paper envelope style unopened before. My question to you all is. do they have a premium attached to them, because of the accented hair Kennedy, among multitudes of other variety's in the other denominations. By the way I will have to open one of them at least. My patients is slowly dwindling.
I very possibly could be wrong but I thought they were originally sent unopened and over time (or on purpose) they sealed themselves.
They were priced to sell. Now you are making me want to open them even more. If ya'll are pulling my leg, well that's funny.
Thanks for not pulling my leg. I am gonna have to open them. If I do they will go under the lens unless damaged. The envelope looks pretty clean though.
However sealed for many years could help the toning process ,and the sealed set I purchased was really nice proofs. I'm sure that the envelope was made from paper that contains sulfur and by chance it may of toned the coins.
From the only other person thats barely younger than Doug! Sorry, I don't post as much as I want to but between being a member for years and lurking for more, tonight I finally came out of my shell.
I read somewhere, that the AH Kennedy is ALWAYS accompanied by the pointed 9 dime. Just thought id throw that out there to sound edumacated.
My Gpa used to throw that word around a lot edumacated. His favorite cus word was Flapdoodle, and he could say it with some passion too!
On the other hand .....heavy looking for a bottle opener... Ken just suckling bourbon straight from the bottle.
