I like the Costco pumpkin pies and will drive to Fargo to get them…….. 11/22/2025 (SAT 9am-5pm) – 22nd Annual Coin Show of North Dakota hosted by the RRVCC; “Ramada by Wyndham Fargo”; 3333 13th Ave. S.; Fargo ND.<LAST-TIME-HERE> Will be weird going to a different venue after this show. Been going to this same spot for a bunch of years @Rushmore , are you taking this in?
Sounds really good! For me it too Far to Go but have a terrific time. Don't tell @BlackberryPie though.
I have to work that entire week (7 days straight) or else I would have gone. It’s only about a 2 hour drive from me but after working midnight to 8am it’s not feasible for me to attend.
Would like to problem is I'm going out of town for Thanksgiving 1200 mile round-trip when gas is around $2.76-$2.86/gallon is tough on the pocketbook.
I am from Minnesota too but fate and fortune make such a trip impossible. I will add this; the BEST Mexican resaturant I have ever eaten at is in Fargo North Dakota: The Paradiso. James
Where about in Minnesota are you? As stated above, I’m on the west side of Lake Minnewaska. I don’t think I’ve been to that Mexican restaurant in Fargo. I’ll have to check it out. I’ve been to Plaza Azteca a number of times and that one is really good.
It was a fun day at this coin show. Was quite busy when I showed up 1-1/2 hours after the doors opened. A couple of hours later the crowd mellowed out enough where you could actually stand at a table and see all the inventory. I went to this show with one coin type in mind for my registry set - a Barber dime. Easy, right? I thought so, but that sure wasn’t the case today, at least for the budget I had for this show. I saw and asked about four coins total. The cheapest one was $1,250. Nice coins for sure, but too rich for my wallet today. I did pick up a few things today. The Admiral Gardner coin was $15, I sure couldn’t pass that up. The Washington piece is a type I’ve bid on numerous times but have always lost out. I couldn’t pass on the keychain for $5, either.
Perfect thread to show my 1902 Wells Fargo Silver Medal HK-296 and share the link on so called dollars. You never know when someone has never heard of a SCD, they're not that common and some are truly rare, just sharing! https://www.so-calleddollars.com/Events/Wells_Fargo.html
There’s a good one in Watertown SD called El Tapatio. The owners came from my old state of California near the US/Mexico border. It’s the closest I’ve come to real Mexican food in South Dakota. Benson, in MN has a Chinese/Thai place that is pretty amazing too.
