Hello! I'm brand new here, I made my account just so I could get some help identifying a handful of coins. I know literally nothing about coins, so help is much appreciated! Below are five coins, front and back, and separated by a line so you can tell which is which. I tried to get the pictures as clear as I could, I apologize if they aren't clear enough. There was also some kind of glue on several of them and I had to scrape it off with my fingernail, I think I did a pretty good job. X3 I do hope I did everything right.. Anyway, thanks in advance! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have to agree with @David@PCC. The ones I can see clearly have no resemblance to authentic ancient coins. The first coin is too blurry to tell much of anything, so if you can take a better image it may help. Without that, I would have to condemn it just for the association with the other coins you posted. Were they all purchased from the same seller?
They all look like replicas. In any case your first coin is clearly a replica of this coin, a Cysta Mystica.
Second "coin" is a copy of the "Tribute Penny" (a denarius of the Roman emperor Tiberius). Third "coin" looks like it's based on the Persian satraps in Cilicia. Not sure about the last two, but all five appear to be modern copies, as the other posters here have stated.
Thanks guys! This is why I posted, I have no knowledge of this stuff. Thanks for all prompt replies. <3 As for where we got them, my mother actually years ago just got them from a friend who didn't want them so he just sorta.. dumped them on her. So we didn't pay any money for them or anything, so we weren't too invested on whether or not they were real. We were just curious~!
