Nice looking small fry, brings back memories of The Rifleman show back in the 1960's, anyone remember that show? :D Makes me laugh, getting old is never fun but it sure is funny! lol.gif Anyone get one or like it, just wondering, it would fit right in my token collection of Indian heads but I'm too baroque!

Used to wonder what kept Chuck Conners from sending a round through his armpit when he spun that rifle.

Sorry. I was too young to remember. I do remember Wild, Wild West though! :)

Did they use a Prop rifle back then and movie magic?

Gunsmith James S. Stembridge modified two Model 1892s for use in regular and close-up filming. In addition, a Spanish-made Gárate y Anitúa "El Tigre" lever action, a near-copy of the Model 1892, was modified for use as a knockabout gun.

Actually the person in charge of guns for that show maintained an aresnal of over a dozen guns. The swift action shown in the show would bend the entire mechanizm after about 5 or 6 spins. They often would go thru his entire inventory just to make a single episode. I hope that doesn't destroy the magic for you. james
