They appear to be Indian of some sort. I can't tell you what they are, but I do know that the correct book to look in is by Mitchiner and should be called something like "Coins of the East". You should be able to borrow it by mail from the ANA library, if you're a member.
This is a silver drachm issued by kings in Chauhan dynasty in mid 12th century. One of the great king form this dynasty was "Prithvi Raj Chauhan" who ruled in central Indian region. All later kings from this dynasty used the same design as prototype and this drachm was struck for few centuries. On one side there is an image of Indian Monkey god "Hanuman" while the other side has few nagri legends identifying the issuing king's name. Regards, Ballabh Garg
