Filled another hole with a tough date with a decent coin. 1900S Morgan. It's not perfect but good enough for my collection. I'm not a big fan of odd toning. I'm guessing a lot of people weren't either, see auction price comment.:p Been looking for this date/mint for some time. It wasn't cheap but about 40% less than PCGS coin guide suggested list, so hopefully the USPS won't steal or lose it (again). I'll post the reveal in a day or two.

Love Morgan's and toning. What do you suppose that means?
MS65? I don't know. I just guess most of the time.

I can't entirely tell from the pics if there's some light rub on some of the hair on the obverse (AU58), or if there's not (I'd go MS64 since the fields are pretty clean).

I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and guess MS64.

I agree that the toning is not optimal, but it's not awful, either.

40% below PCGS trend price? Not bad.

I don't think the contact marks hold it back, but from look of the photos, it doesn't look super lustrous and the strike looks a bit soft for San Fransisco.

Oh no, spoil alert, 3rd Reverse. Obverse rim ding, environmental damage. Reverse a bit better. AU maybe higher depending on the TPG. I would buy it at the right price.

I'm thinking MS-62 but it looks like there's a lot of chatter and marks on the obverse. Hard to say with the lighting and angles, but... I'll guess an AU-58.

Aurighttt. Enough suspense. The only thing I know for sure is that I shy away from buying toned coins unless they are already graded. They buffalo me.
