I wonder how long it will take for them to come from overseas?

Anyone can counterstamp a cent (see Lincoln-Kennedy). I'm waiting for someone to counter stamp thousands and put them into circulation. The only real ones will be PCGS slabbed.

A simple counterstamp will be incuse. The privy marks are in relief, I believe (struck into the die).

How corrupt can one be, from millionaire to billionaire and beyond, at our expense! Who exactly is too blame...

Seems like it would be pretty easy to counterstamp the fake die though. "Come from overseas" was the key to the question for me. Doesn't seem like China would get a ton of 2025 cents and then counterstamp them. They'll get one and make a garbage die from it. I bet they show up shortly after the big media splash surrounding the December auction.

From what I have seen here, the mint has made a lot of collectors angry. I am glad that I am pretty much done with the modern crap the produces. I buy a silver Proof set a year to keep my date set going, and that's it.

It's a shame that "The Red Book" and other references are getting fattened up with all the garbage the mint produces every year. It bores me completely.

I’m so not interested in what is being produced by the mint. I even stopped ordering mint and proof sets years ago.

Well, if you're talkin' about the comic book stuff, yeah, I agree. Useless crap that's over priced and way out of reach for a so called 'intended audience'. Or perhaps the 'Peter Pan' syndrome sorts have deep pockets.....
