I knew I wasn't the only one who would be enamored with the Trader Bea Purple Core slabs. Its okay, you take the full steppers and I will look for the high grades and varieties. Snagged this undesignated 1944-D/D FS-501 on Great Collections last night. I started my registry set a while back, my 5th war nickel registry set, I call it Lehigh's Bees. Lehigh's Bees Most of the war nickels I see in the Trader Bea Purple is common gem grade stuff, I am really hoping that they up their quality and get some MS67s going.
Nice cherrypick! I can't believe you are already 50% complete on a War Nickel set with a super flashy and niche specialty slab label! Now thats dedication of your series of choice.
This 1953 S graded Ms 66 older pcgs slab, do you believe it would get FS designation? Kind of stupid question, it should be reading up more on step grading criteria , and I'll do that now I think. Its one of the better ones I've found on the bay. I'm quite surprised it got that high of a grade given the weak strikes.im still a noob some series I'm better on some than others,, not really good In any.
I just added these two lovelies, for no reason other than I liked them. I was never big on Barber coinage but I find my opinion is changing. Photo credit: Northeast Numismatics. MS-64 AU-55
