Hello all, MeowtheKitty here. How are things? Meow is finding that the cost of things seems to be really getting out of paw. Like the Maintenance fee at Meows home is going to go up 12% for next year. Insurance policies have also gone up notably last year too. At this rate what is the average being supposed to do? Is this going to continue until a large portion of the population is near bankrupt?

Anyway, Meow has had a quite heavy Ebay addiction, and last week had to seriously decide to quit as the cost of living was just getting too unmanageable. Meow has been CRH penny rolls daily as that is still affordable. Meow has found a small amount of interesting ones and will maybe share them some time in the future. Meow was posting wondering what kind of deluxe coin holder do you guys like. Meow was thinking as a final small splurge to trying out a fancy deluxe holder for Meows better finds. Meow was inspired by an ebay purchase last month of a box of premium trading card holders that are very elegant and durable. Meow even managed to print out a label on a in pawheld label maker for it. Meow quite likes it and Meow thought how neat it would be if there was a coin holder that was just as nice.

Meows Chinese Lego King Tiger has been progressing slowly. Meow still has the turret 20251117_205337[1].jpg 20251117_211642[1].jpg left to assemble. Purrs, MeowtheKitty.

Oh and by the way Meow broke the previous record the other day. Meows last post was about finding the oldest penny CRH for Meow. It was a 1910. Meow last week found Meows first indian head penny CRH. It was an 1889. Meow might in the future post pics of it with some other slightly interesting penny finds.

And another quite interesting experience Meow had this week. Meow got in paw about a dozen rolls from the bank of pennies that contained nothing but 1960s to 1971 pennies. About 15% where in BU or AU condition with near full color luster. No errors or variations but it was very cool to find rolls of pennies saved by someone at a time Meow was a small kitten.

Well, a Cat can buy a coin. But to CRH a cool coin can make a Cat really Purr.

He has passed on into the cosmos but for over 22 years I had a great friend; Elliot the cat. I think he may have been the only member of my family who enjoyed sitting with me while I trolled for coins.
One night I was fixated on the computer screen while a Heritage Auction was in progress. During their auctions there is a bright red button that says BID.
I was bidding on an 1873 No Arrow Seated Dime. I had just decided to drop out of the bidding. Elliot felt differently. He had come into my office and just as the auction was counting down the last 4 seconds he executed a perfect 4 foot leap in the air and landed with all 4 paws on my finger on the mouse. CLICK.
To this day I record it as Elliot's coin in mt coin journal. i will see if my computer will behave but posting pictures has been a mess this morning. James

My HOA fees are going up I think by about 7 percent. Plus I hear my area will have an assessment, partly because a previous management company managed to spend all the excess they had before turning it over, so.... Not liking it, but compared to what I might have to spend on a HOA for what I get in another housing area here in my town, it's not as bad as some. And I don't have to actually hire other people to do things to keep it nice or pay extra for trash and water, as that's included in my HOA stuff. That said, it still 'hurts' to have that go up that much. This is the second time in just 4 years or so that they've raised it by 7 or 8 percent.

Hoping my other things I subscribe to and utilities don't go up that much this year.

I think that my taxes may also go up, and not looking forward to seeing next years bill.

But, I keep trying to have a good outlook, and I did have extra summer employment which I liked and which was just enough to be keeping my head above water for the things that happened this year with unexpected expenses. Might do the summer thing next year, too if I can, I have a really old car that I am concerned about and I can manage pretty much all my stuff but if I get a car issue.... that could be a problem.

Haven't been purchasing any coins, pretty much just some CRH as I have several other things going on in my life that I have to put my attention to. Also not sure where I want to go, collecting like. But next year it would be good to get to a coin show again. I do love those, even if I just end up looking at the coins and occasionally having a convo with a dealer.

Got to keep a great outlook on life and enjoy the coins one can.
