1977 D HELP PLEASE....

    My 77 D looks to have a few issues.... "TY" in liberty....also looks like double "D" mint mark.... Any thoughts???@anyone..... 20170212_122048.jpg

    Look like normal circulation issues.
    Mint Marks are never Doubled Die
    They were hand punched into the Cent Die in 1977. Maybe D over D

    Thats whst i was asking... Does it look like a d over d , and what about "ty" in liberty??? So your saying its no good???? I know i said a double "D".... But i didnt mean double die.... D over D is what i was referring to...Soorry...lol

    It might be 1977 d-MM-001 D/D north

    Hi Marie, welcome. I am not aware of an Rpm for 1977D. It looks like it has some wear. PMD
    As far as the TY. It is a grease filled die.

    sorry for the late replay. go to coppercoins.com and you will find one example of a 1977 rpm .
    But it's not a very example ,I think yours is a better one.

    Thanks so much for the info :) the mint mark almost looks like an D over S to me...... But then again what do i know...I've only been roll hunting and trying to learn/research for about 3 months now... LOL ;) but hey u never ever know right....#THE ONLY STUPID QUESTION IS THE ONE YOU DO NOT ASK! And Thanks Again :)

    Hey you never know it could be you never know. I definitely can see something protruding from the bottom west side of the D and there is definitely something north of the D. Happy Hunting have a great day.
