I was looking for this comment here. As if handling the last cent without protective measures (gloves or the like) wasn't bad enough, he then pinched it between his fingertips for a photo op. How about the 2nd to last penny? I'll bet that one will look much better!
Maybe the fingerprint was intentional, and another case of putting ego ahead of preservation. But no, it's probably adequately explained by cluelessness.
Well it says right on the reverse...worth one cent. Anything above that would be considered the premium
i toured the denver mint in August and that was the big question as to what will become of the last cent produced? will someone pocket it? they had no answer
