I'm still hoping the price in the third-party market drops to sane levels in a few years; if so I'll get some of them then.

I love the designs but the prices are just insane. The one ounce silver medals costs what the 2.5 ounce medals should cost.

If you're going to produce a 'comic book' coin, produce one that is affordable to a 'target' audience, and when I think of that I think of YN's. I seldomly read comic books as a youth but had many friends who did so. My tendencies, when I did imbibe, were more directed to Sgt. Rock and Classics Illustrated. That feebly said, I suppose the 'target' audience isn't YN's but old and grumpy octegenerian guys with more hair growing out of their ears than exists upon their heads. Thankfully I ain't there yet (getting close though). Hunks of over priced, poorly designed, silver and gold don't entice me.

What on earth is a comic coin? Does it have Bugs Bunny on it?

Good for Trust fund kids at those prices... I'll hang on to what I have which at this point isn't much. :grumpy::depressed:

When I see those, it's like seeing the couple of cases that aren't selling in each B&M I go to filled with overpriced artsy colored coin/tokens, etc. At 110+ an ounce. I will pass.

So far this year the Superman coins have sold:

    1/2 oz gold proof - 5,943
    2.5 oz silver medal - 13,943
    1 oz silver medal - 27,345

Not that much compared to other programs, I would guess the target audience is the 30- to 50-year-old men still living in their parents' basement. It would be interesting to see the net profit the mint makes on these kinds of items.

Sounds like overpriced precious metals to me.

Thanks Green, She-Ra princess of power was completely erased from my memory banks, until you mentioned her lol

She is a Babe. Now all we need is He-man (Master of the Universe)

I'll fess up. I did order the set of "Street Fighter' coins a few years back. I loved that arcade game. A pocket full of quarters, Ah those were the days.
