    True, but some people are able to live with things that others won't. Some people are able to overlook things others can't. Coin collecting is no different. Things that are distracting to you may not be to someone else. There are probably those who only collect coins with spots:)

    It is a woody. That is the poorly mixed alloy. Nothing to do with cleaning.

    That's very true, but it's beside this point: you're not getting the expression the artist wanted you to get, you're rather getting a compromised expression. It's like collecting tarnish. Some like it, some don't. We're entitled to like what we like, and not like what we don't, even though the artistic expression is compromised.

    It's current grade.

    Even if it comes back the same grade I'm doing okay.

    It's a nice coin no doubt I personally haven't had much luck with dark spots on coppers.

    I agree with the spots hurt the coin. I agree with it will not hit red. It is a nice coin, but not a gem.
