I think I may have even outdone my $10 platinum i got about 10yrs ago for myself. I have been wanting a Redfield Hoard piece for quite some time to add to my other "hoard/pedigreed" coins well saw one tonight I really liked but didn't actualy need the date/mm combo for my morgan set, add in that the price was a tad high but it was in the red paramount holder that I specificaly wanted (redfield coins in just pcgs or ngc slabs do not carry the same premium as the paramount holders) The one issue I had was that it was not yet NGC graded (NGC will grade it "IN" the paramount holder if requested that way) So I decided to pass it by.... Not!!!!!! I made a lowball offer of 80% his asking price.... He took it ... I was happy On a 2nd good examination of the sellers pics I noticed a bit of a bump over the MM and on blowing up the pics as much as I could also a thickening of the right side of the o... Pic's are NOT good enough to tell to be honest but... it might turn out to be an o/cc which would make me an exstatic weasel Won't know until in hand but lets just say if it is and NGC hands it a nice grade even as low as 63 I've made the steal of the year and as I said already even if not the o/cc I'm quite happy to add it to my morgan sets Have a peek yourselves
