Well, - Edited - now AI says it's a valuable error, so all the auction companies have jumped on board. Just google the title of this thread and there they are! AI is ruining our world!

You have to work backwards. Reverse engineer. How did the mark get there? Where did it come from? What part of the minting process created it? It clearly is not the number 5, and if it was, there is no part of the process that would put a 5 on the coin. If Fred said a piece of lint is responsible for the S or 5 shaped mark, than that's 99-100% correct and has no extra value.
Why would an SP 67 dime sell for 12,500? What kind of grade is SP?
How could any company with integrity sell this 1966 dime no matter what condition it is for $12,500? It seems ridiculous. The 5 on the cheek should detract from any value and not add to it. People's greed grows tiresome to me.

Well, it just goes to show with someone at the auction who has more money than brains, based on the sales price. And it's exacerbated by someone who vocally sounds like he is the square root of 29, rather than actual age.

I'm confused. Four years later you're back with a new user name to brag about how much you think a coin that you gave away is worth? One that never matched this silly "variety" anyway?
