Help with possible error

    I went through my son’s change jar and the only “keeper” was a 1946 LWC. On closer inspection I noticed what could be a small error. On the obverse above the date it looks like a delamination or possibly a strike through. My eyes aren’t as good as they once were. Any help clarifying the issue before I place it in a labeled 2x2 would be appreciated.
