Here it is, November 5, 2025 and I finally received one in change. It’s a 2024-P Women’s Quarter. Her name is Celia Cruz and I had to look her up to see who she was. She was a singer that spoke out against Fidel Castro and his regime in 1960 when she and her band were permanently banned from Cuba. Her mother died in 1962 and she was not allowed entry into Cuba to attend to her funeral.
High up it’s a lock of his hair. The coin was minted by a worn die. Down around his jaw are 2 small nicks(damage).
¡AZUCAR! Was her catch phrase. It means sugar. She would say that as she was declaring her art of music as sweet

I just got 3 rolls of CC. Unless I can upgrade my album, it's useless to me. Dumping them in the coin acceptor at Wally World tomorrow. But there are a number of new quarters where I have not seen any. Ida B. Well, Dr. Vera Rubin, Stacey Park Milbern, Althea Gibson. And VERY FEW Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, and Jovita Idar. By the time I get these new releases they are going to be all scratched up. Used to always get these just a few weeks after release, now I get some of the releases and others I get a year or 2 later.
For some strange reason I thought we were talking about something totally different. Like a life changing event.
