Not at all being snarky, but a better question would be to you...what do "YOU" think might be special about this quarter?

I agree. What makes you think it might be special?

I don't have any experience in coin business , this is why I'm here to ask people who have this experience , and I think this is why we're all here to " TALK" about "COINS".

Don't let the snobbery run you off. It kind of goes with the territory here. Much knowledge but also much attitude. To answer your question, no there isn't anything special about this coin (at least that I know of). What do you see with it? Tommy isn't generally a snarky one as a rule (at least from my point of view). No offense Tommyc03. :)

Yeah, I'm one of the snarky ones! Do you own a copy of the Red Book?

Here's the reason I asked that question...many new members join because they have a serious interest in collecting coins. Others are led here by wild stories that they can get rich off coins. Our best advice when starting off new, is to buy a copy of the Red Book of U.S. Coins to get some history, learn about errors and varieties, how to grade, etc. But many just come here with pocket change and ask w/o doing any research or studying up first. My question was an honest one intended to spur you into thinking more about the coin you are presenting.
That said, you have a common date quarter, circulated and of high mintage. I see nothing out of the ordinary. There was no intention of offending you with my question and I'm sorry if you were. Tom

Maybe you're seeing the coin being fairly well struck?

Honestly, I thought I asked correctly. I really would never be snarky or condencending to anyone. No, of course I'm not offended. Guess I'll just answer the next one straight out.:)

You did. I've not seen you condescending to anyone here. You 'read' very well. I think he sees what I see often times and that is the overall condescention as a group. It does read that way to new comers. I know I see it that way from many here but not you Sir.

Are you trying to throw it back in his face? Come on, Tommy's answer was not any more snarky than yours. We all just want to know what it is that he thinks he sees before we comment on it. Tommy and others here have fielded literally hundreds of these questions. C'mon, give us a chance.

Thank you for your explanation , my problem is that I'm not trying to be in coin business , the coins I have it is my legacy from my uncle who was a coins collector and he passed away a few years ago , I have a lot of coins from U.S.A , Europe and it's all in a good shape so I don't want to have a coins that may be worth money without knowing this

Understood. Best thing I can suggest in your particular situation is to carefully review one by one each and every coin in your possession. By review I don't mean to take them collectively to your local coin shop as you're not very likely going to receive a fair assessment as the shop will probably be thinking (if they see anything they might want) that they can screw you out of what you have. It's what they do and they're only in business to make money. Nature of the best unfortunately. I'd start with a coin, look it up in the Redbook (only for a reference point on the high end of the scale), look up ebay prices (again for only reference), ask here (again ONLY FOR REFERENCE), and then maybe the web for auction prices, etc, etc. Anybody you ask will likely have some motive so take it with a grain of salt in all cases. Good luck!

I explained that Tommy's wasn't snarky. Only that it might appear snarky to the first time reader as it APPEARS on first glance that this place is full of snarky type people (correctly or incorrectly assumed). I like Tommy and think he's not of the snarky type (as opposed to others here).
    Edit:
Again with the goofy rearranging of the posts this site seems to engage in. I was responding to Kentucky's post that my response here left out as it does randomly.

Yeah, I was being snarky and overly sensitive because it seemed that was what you were doing. I apologize and promise not to do it again. BTW, like your avatar.

No problem. I do it regularly myself. It's kind of tough not to here plus words don't always read as intended. Sometimes I feel bad for newcomers as I once was. The attitude can be a bit maddening. Thanks on the avatar. This forum inspired it. I just presume everybody is a (insert bad word here) and that usually keeps my blinds up (and I'm correct more often than not). :)

I responded to a Craigslist ad where a fellow had lots of coins he wanted to dispose of (cent and nickel collection, etc.) and though I wasn't interested, I referred him to a dealer I know. I just happened to be at the dealer's when the man came in. The dealer told him he had a couple of coins worth anything much, but advised him to keep the coins together to give to a friend or relative. Great dealer.
