One Dollar Gold Coin Real or Fake ?

    Small US gold is extensively faked. The photos are not good enough for me to look up the coin in one of the MANY counterfeit detection books. My recommendation is to find something else.

    The seller only has two feedbacks as a seller. I see nothing to indicate that the seller is an expert at counterfeit detection. Buying raw US gold from this seller with poor photos is buying a pig in a poke.

    If you're not an expert, as you say, stick to coins certified by the experts at either ANACS, NGC, or PCGS.
