Then it is my technique which needs refining. I do not do nearly the volume of photography that folks like you do, nor am I exposed to as many slabs. In truth this is the first time I've needed to take a Dremel to slab polishing work, although as I mentioned I've used them extensively over the years. I've already figured out some things I can do to minimize the chance of damage going forward.
In 66 red, is is more common than the 1912, 1913, and 1914. I guess "rare" is a matter of perspective.

My love for high grade "Brown" wheats has been off the charts recently. That's like Christmas everytime a coin comes in!
Even though each of these is full red, there are still variations between the mints as to exactly what shade of red they are.
