Large silver hoard unearthed in Sweden

That guy needs to play Vikinglotto. I wonder how many dead coin shooters spent 20 years looking for that hoard and this guy digs it up looking for worms.

Well, hopefully he'll get something out of it besides: "Thankyou for your service."

 

I wonder what the laws are in Sweden for someone finding hidden treasure. Hopefully he'll get a substantial share.

The article says the gov't pays them for turning it in. Which is required by law. But you can bet it is a pittance compared to the vast wealth of this hoard. An unscrupulous person could piece this out on the black market in different countries and realize millions of dollars.

I always wondered how honest one person would be in a case like this. I'd say, not too honest. Why is it always in another country?
