I am thinking about bidding on this 'Washington at Tappan NY' medal auction. I know nothing about medals. The only reason I am considering bidding on this auction is that I live about two blocks from this place and I think it would be neat to have something like this.

The minimium bid is $99. Is this a fair price?

The only documentation on this medal is this:

I don't know a lot about these either, however, for $99 that is a heck of a lot of history that you are receiving, and Lovett was a great token & medal creator.

    Good luck.

$99 is a pretty steep price for something you know nothing about.

$99 is a steep price but I think it would be neat to own a medal signifying something close to my home.

I just wanted to know if the price was fair. Am I going to see the medal being sold for $20 in a few months.

I doubt that you'll see it for $20, try to search for closed auctions.

I tried for closed/completed items on eBay, none listed.
    good luck.
