Looking thru my mint sets and found this. Full band? What do you think?

They don't get fuller than that, you got it all. :)

I thought "Full Bands" only applied to Winged Liberty dimes and "Full Torch" applied to Roosevelt dimes. (I don't collect either.)

Full bands applies to mercury dimes and the rosevelt reverse is similar

PCGS has it both ways, Chris. I remember when I asked the same question you just did. They went both ways quite a number of years ago, actually. Do you need to see the article? I'll bet you can dig it up.

No, maybe that's why I don't think so highly of PCGS. It's the same for their attribution of just "Half of the Bell Lines" instead of "Full Bell Lines".

    Thanks!

I have no idea how this coin will grade. Does anyone think it is worth sending in?

It will get mint state no doubt. But this is not a collectible coin I don't think. Not yet at least. Hang on to it for a few decades :)

    Thanks for the comments

The coin is still in the plastic that came with the mint set. May look better if removed. I will save it for my grandchildren

    Thanks again

NGC uses the FT designation...I have coins from both services and do not think there is a difference in definition and application..I also have coins graded without the designation that are better struck than coins that did...

The few decades may already be up.

It appears that demand for the mint sets is beginning to exceed the few that are left.

I've been wrong before but I've never been wrong about this before.
