natural toning ?????

    Yeah that would be my guess. Toning that covers the entire coin has a pattern. That has no pattern at all

    I Agree , It's A Friends And Trying To Convince Him Not To Send It Off For Grading

    Even if it wasent would it even be worth it? I mean Ike's aren't rare by any mean, I don't know if there is a demand for them.

    Also even if it was, toning like that "unattractive" won't bring any premium being slabbed. He would loose money on the grading.

    I will say that it is artificial toning.

    It does look AT (via heat or other chemical reaction).
    It shouldn't get past the grading companies, but there have been more and more questionable pieces receiving straight grades lately.
