I recently purchased a magnificent estate coin collection which included a handful of very nice ancient coins. I think I’m going to hang on to the Athenian Owl but will likely move the rest along. Can’t keep ‘em all! I’d live to hear peoples thoughts. Which o es are your favorites?
    Enjoy!

I like them all. My primary collection interests are the 1st Centuries AD/BC so my favorites are amongst those. But I have to ask (tongue in cheek) why can't you collect them all?

Quite the haul there. The owl is nice. Well centered, not worn. That's probably a 12 to $1500 coin in today's market. I can't identify all of them but I do have a pegasus and when it's right facing and Athena's bust is right facing without the little key symbol I believe it would be from somewhere other than Corinth. Would have to do some investigating to nail down a time frame and mint. The three dots under it may identify where it's from.

I'd like to have that Tiberius in my album. That one is nice. These are great.

Attribution info with sale paperwork (coin was purchased by previous owner in 2021 off ebay) identifies it as a Acarnania Leukas Stater
Here’s a photo of the listing title

The business model says buy a whole lot, keep a whole little…man if I was able to keep everything I’ve bought over the years I’d be broke…or rich…

How does one even find estate collections - some sellers claim estate sales but these seem to usually be it means fakes for sale. But these are clearly NOT fakes. Where in the world did you find these?

I have a side business that specializes in the purchase of estate coin collections. Folks contact me through my website. It has been a blast for the last 5 years or so buying all sorts of amazing collections.

I have a business model too, I buy a whole lot.

Yeah, I have WAY too many coins. I keep telling myself its my retirement plan, actually going through what I own, but we are talking 10k ancients nowadays, besides all of the other stuff. I better hope I have a LONG retirement. :)
