4 sellers on ebay are selling for under $700 now.
$850 sold coins are PCGS MS70 although 90 % of submitted coins are coming up as MS70

Yep, they're going up about $100 per week.

Hmm, I only see one seller at $690, all the others are $800 or more. Oh yeah, there is one auction that's at $426 with 3 days left.

Hmm, those first 2 don't come up in my search. They must need the cash to sell so low, so quick and the first one thinks it's the 2nd lowest, not the key.

Yesterday's mint report showed 5,150 sold for the 2nd week, that may be the final mintage.

I have some Perth Mint sovs and 1/2 sovs with mintages of 1,500 that I picked up near spot on ebay. Those are twice as rare in PR69 PCGS slabs. Just a sales gimmick with the only demand coming from speculators. Just like Bitcoin.

As many of us expected as the $5 gold commem program has gotten worse and worse as time goes on.

The real sad part is imagine the sales if they did a multi year/part series something like 'memories of the past'. Which consisted of rereleased half eagles in the capped bust, capped bust left, capped redesigned, classic head, liberty head and then Indian head designs. Heck they could even do quarter eagles to make the program more accessible to everyone and I bet they'd break modern sales records.

They’d probably mess it up like the ones last year. I do like some of the gold commens but like the rest of the series they haven’t been picking the best designs and there’s just to many no one cares about

Ya, the boys town one was hideous. It might be a good short term flip, but I doubt it is a winner long term

Yep, sad. The mint blows it again for collectors and the charity. They know they could have sold close to 5,000, yet cut off sales three weeks early, leaving collectors who were watching the sales out in the cold and probably leaving the charity with nothing from this program. Can you imagine how you could profit from this if you work for the mint and knew they were going to end sales?

I was waiting for closer to the end to see final mintages. Oh well you snooze you lose. I did pick up the uncirculated dollar and half dollar though. Super low mintages on those as well.

I expect the 2018 commemoratives will appeal to a much wider audience (Breast Cancer awareness and WWI rememberance).

Looks like they made it. All three unc Boys Town commems set new record lows.
