Whenever Sal posted a quarter thread I never had anything to post. Well I got this the other day from the laundry change machine.

I really liked the state quarters when they first came out. My favorite was a toss up between Pennsylvania and that Army guy that was flanked twice by Cornwallis and is now standing up in the boat. o_O

But then the designs got boring with some of them looking less historical and more like info-commercials from the state commerce dept.

Here’s my Paul Revere Quarter. I posted it just for @SensibleSal66. My horse is spitting from the long fast ride. Lol 7AD64EDA-DAEA-4E05-9D01-375D97AF7F2C.jpeg 98CA77BC-99BF-4C6E-8887-6614035DA64C.jpeg 86CC4F0E-A2F4-487B-9652-FE28529E7A1D.jpeg

Horse spit on a coin is a nice change from some of the other coins we've discussed here...

There was also one with a die crack coming out of the horse's butt.

I think the Wyoming one is the worst. All they did was put their license plate logo on the coin.

Reminds me of my across the street neighbor one day out in the yard. That man needs to pull up his pants in the back! :yuck:

I do not see a Sal posting thing for this Monday morning. I did find this quarter centric post so will post a coin i have sent some time admiring this weekend. It gives me solace.
Here is my 1878-CC Seated Quarter. PCGS 40. Coin is a top 25 cancelled die variety. It also has a small piece of wire brush laminated into the field just in front of the face of Liberty. Good Monday and Good morning to all. James

Strange but true. The minute I posted this the radio dude told me Sammy Haggar is 78 today. Any Van halen/ Red rocker fans out there? Maybe post another 78 something if so. james

Ugh, all these familiar faces getting older. I don't know what I'd do if it started happening to me...

Do you know what kind of horse is on the Delaware quarter? A quarter horse, of course. My cousin's ex husband told me that one 25 years ago....

BTW, that's Caesar Rodney on the horse, not Paul Revere. :)

Caesar Rodney was a Delaware lawyer, soldier, and Founding Father famous for his all-night ride through a thunderstorm to cast the deciding vote for American independence at the Continental Congress on July 2, 1776.
