Figured a store I paid in cash with and received the same year penny in uncirculated condition 2 days in a row made me go back and ask for a bunch of pennies. 11/12 of them came out to 1959-D in uncirculated condition. What are these worth and are they “reds”

I do believe that the coin you have would recieve a red designation from a tpg.
The value is a variable as to who you are selling it too. It is not really a Rare find
to those who look for such things, but it would seem like one to someone who has never seen one. Realistically it is worth 10¢ - 50¢ depending on the buyer.

I would think it would make a red grade. It’s only worth about $.10 to $.25 cents so not worth the cost of grading.

Many people saved the new memorial cents by the roll when they first came out. I had a neighbor that had entire bins full of them. He was trying to find a buyer but I believe he ended up just cashing them in, I imagine it happened to a lot of them.

My old B and M (not there anymore) used to give out high condition cents in the 1960's, as change, from collections that he bought, (he cherry picked and sold the high value stuff) and some things were just face value to him so they went in the register.

I haven’t shown all pics. Some are certainly nicer

Yes but this is a date that over 1.2 billion were minted and they were highly saved. All these years later I still see rolls of mint state coins from 1959 being spent as change or turned into the bank. That’s one reason the value is so low.
