Some new additions (Morgans only)

Was able to snag some coins today that fill more holes in my Morgan albums. Not overly expensive, but I'm still happy to get more of those slots filled in finally! And there's a nice little toner in there, too.

Nice Morgans. Took me over ten years but I have two complete sets, I love Morgans, and Peace Dollars almost tied with them. Thanks for sharing your beauties.

 

Always liked Morgans, back in the day I had a nice collection going, but because of Chinese fakes and the over all concern of getting counterfeits sold just about everything off

 

That's one reason why I like finding the VAM for the Morgans. It essentially authenticates the coin, free of charge. Yeah, it's a tedious poison pill that you've gotta chomp down on little by little, but when the VAM matches it's essentially guaranteed to be authentic at that point.

That, and I just find the die marriages quite intriguing. And even that complete die studies have not yet been completed all these decades later. I've discovered one new Morgan VAM so far, and am always on the lookout for another potential undiscovered variety. I'm kinda flabbergasted that I had found one already, but it was clearly an unlisted thing, so I pointed it out and got the credit for it. Maybe I was just lucky? I prefer to think of it as a small reward for just being cheap and trying to self-authenticate lol!
