nice coin JG! and some sweet lookin' coins here in general. just out of curiosity, why are most of the coins you post lacking patina? i'm horribly under piused. i have a going rate denarius and a hideous provincial. i did recently pick up this sestertius of his wife, it aint bad...
I'm thinking JG gets asked this a lot... I just asked the same question on another thread. He just happens to find them more appealing that way. And he is always careful to imply or say that he doesn't strip patinas, so we don't get mad at him. It's all good, JG, I totally see the appeal!

I just got a nice Antoninus Pius sestertius in the mail today from Mr. Ken Dorney. Obv. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P - Laureate head right Rev. COS IIII S C in ex. Emperer standing facing to left, nimbate, holding branch and scepter. RIC 765 32mm 22.35 grams
