The Italian composer Claudio Monteverdi (1567 - 1643) is a key figure who led the way from the Renaissance to the Baroque periods of music, particularly in the development of opera.

There are several years coming up where I don't have any examples, or I haven't photographed yet.

Viceroyalty of Peru, Philip IV, Potosi, 8 reales, 1621 T. Transposed lions-castles on reverse.
    KM 10
    27.07 grams
1621 was a transitional year for Spain, ending Philip III's reign and starting that of Philip IV. Lacking the ordinal "III" this coin is assumed to be Philip IV.
    D-Camera Potosi 8 reales Philip III 1621 T KM 10 27.07g transposed lions-castles rev 3-1-25.jpg

Spanish Netherlands, Albert and Elizabeth, patagon, 1621, Brussels.
    KM 35.3
    27.42 grams

Germany, Ferdinand II, Hamburg, thaler, 1621. Purchased in February 1995 from Karl Stephens.

This is an unusual piece. It is an undated wedding taler of 1/2 taler weight (13.9 g) but it is normal taler size of 44mm. It is assumed to be struck in Hamburg circa 1619/20 due to mint mark of Henning Hanses. Obv: Christ, wearing nimbus crown, standing between bride and groom. Rev: Christ, wearing nimbus crown, seated to left of table, seated around, bride, groom and two other guests; in foreground below, jars.
