Die state refers to the life of the die. From first strike to final strike. Early die state. mid die state and late die state. As the die gets older it starts to take on markers. Die cracks, gouges. The weak strike, or die wear on the ribbon.. (PLUR) is what I was reffering to. Bust Halfs aren't what I study. I cant help anymore than that, But I think it is in the XF range as far as grade.
I noticed that as well. You told me all I needed I really appreciate you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I use Photograde and judging by that book I would give it a high VF grade. PCGS Photograde gives this a VF-35. From what I see on ebay, TPG's overgrade many coins so if you sent in in IMHO it probably would come back higher than VF. I've sent coins to both PCGS and NGC and most of the time they returned with a higher grade than I expected. Maybe I'm too conservative when it comes to grading but I grew up with Brown and Dunn.
