My Newest Error Coin

    I won this in the contest that @dwhiz held recently. A nice 1813 Large Cent with a rotated reverse. It’s about 40% rotated I think, maybe more. Wish they still made coin with these designs. Thank you for holding the contest sir. :)

    Neat. But I always think, how do we know that the reverse was rotated? Maybe it was the obverse that was actually rotated. o_O

    LOL, I went with when I hold the coin and look at the obverse with the date in the 6 pm position and then flip the coin to the reverse so the date is now at 12 the reverse is lopsided. :smuggrin:

    Are all dates in the 6 o'clock? And, is the 6 position always pm? Could the 6 position be am? This is special. In 75++ years I have never thought of justifying the rotation like this.

    LOL, looks like 1819! Could be an 1819/8 but nonetheless a Matron Head cent.
