My recommendation is to take advantage of the deal if you need coins graded... Not really sure what else you're looking for?

My recommendation is to only use ANACS for variety coins that need attribution as the grading provides little to no recognition in the secondary market.

 

I sent 17 morgans in a couple weeks ago. ANACS is good at grading morgans

 

And Dan Carr pieces!

I'm wondering if I should submit some of mine under the dollars and cents special or wait for something like they had this fall.

 

If you have enough I would just do it. I am inpatient though, I'd rather pay a little more than wait 6 months

 

Ya, I agree, sending them Economy takes sometimes 2 to 3 months. They are good at VAM attributions and reasonably priced. Sometimes it's worth the wait.....

 

My last batch, which was the fall special took about 6 weeks.

 

Mine took 9 weeks, but all 15 of them were Morgans and Peace$'s that had to be attributed. So I didn't mind....of course the suspense killed me
I did buy the grading certificates they offered and each sheet of them came with 2 free upgrade certificates. So the last batch of 10 I sent on the economy was upgraded to the 15 days. SWEET!

 

Is there a minimum number of Carr pieces to be submitted to ANACS?

 

The upgrades were for whole orders not individual coins?

If you use a cheap tier its 5, if you just use a normal one I don't believe so but would probably want to call and double check that.

 

The upgrades as I understand it can be used any time and I believe for 1 coin as well. I called them a few weeks ago and was told you can use the up grade for any amount. I just chose to use it with my certificate of 10 on the economy to up grade it to the 15 days. Hope this helps!

 

For some reason I thought it was limited to one coin. Upgrading an entire submission makes that much more attractive. Wish I had snagged one for my Carr submissions

 

Here's what I have:

 

Baseball, give them a ping, I believe they are still selling them. You have to call them to get them. They have one for $99 that includes 2, 7 coin vouchers on the economy and 2, 5 coin vouchers on the 15 day tier and 2 upgrade vouchers. The $199 includes 2, 10 on eco and 2, 5 on 15 and 2 upgrade.

 

I'll have to give them a call tomorrow, that's basically the perfect sizes for what I use them for. Sure beats waiting a month to get things back too.

Just got them back, they seem to have tightened up their standards since last year when i had a group of morgans graded. A couple came back ms62 that look better than some that came back ms63 last year
