At the end of August I made another purchase from the same dealer who surprised me with the 1937 and 1937-D Lincolns. It was the 1937-S, and it also became the new coin in my set.

    What a reverse! If only the obverse mimicked it... 20251001_145455.jpg 20251001_145552.jpg 20251001_145525.jpg 20251001_145527.jpg 20251001_145516.jpg 20251001_145616.jpg 20251001_145718.jpg 20251001_145640.jpg

It's like trying to photograph a mirror straight on without anything reflecting in it!

Just got this one in hand recently. 1897-O ICG AU55, tough to find at reasonable prices, sellers photos, which look pretty cheesy. In hand it's dripping with original luster, I may possibly attempt a crossover to PCGS. If it slides to AU58, the retail value more than doubles. 1897-o.png 1897-o rev.png

Well let me start by saying I don't normally buy 10k gold, in fact I didn't own any until right now. I came across a sale on feebay for an 1860 Clark Gruber 10k copy coin so I thought heck if I can get it for spot, I'm in. Turns out that's what happened, so I went to my LCS to have it tested XRF and it's legit 10k gold! lol.gif Here's some pics, oh and there was a funky looking reverse so I dropped it in jewelry cleaner and blamo, it looks great now! :D

Did that factor into you purchasing it or just a discovery when you got it in hand? I have two struck through Morgans I bought raw. One through grease, the other through wood. I had ANACS put the designation on the slab. They did not charge extra for it.

I think I found a rather interesting way to show the mirror on this one. That's my red couch with a tan blanket on it... 15 feet away on the other side of the room! 20251003_113641.jpg 20251003_113841.jpg

Wasn’t looking for this, but the price was too good. Approaching 65 prices.

It’s a pretty fair grade imo. I do think it looks better than several PCGS MS66 Morgans I have.

Got a full book of Washington Quarters (less 32D & 32S, so 76 coins) for $560. And this little number for $26.70. Now it's nothing super rare or anything, but you can't beat the price. IMG_20251004_114450.jpg IMG_20251004_114503.jpg
