Recently picked this one up. I highly recommend anyone interested to check out the Wikipedia article on the Great Exhibition. Must have been a truly awe-inspiring experience!

Excellent condition with proof-like fields. The Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations was an international exhibition held in London showcasing the latest developments in science, technology, invention, and culture. The event was organized and promoted by Prince Albert and other leading men of industry and held in an enormous building specially built for the purpose, which came to be called the Crystal Palace. Constructed of glass panels set in iron frames and covering an area of nearly 20 acres, the building itself was a marvel of technology and engineering. The Exhibition was a huge success, attracting over 6 million visitors (including Queen Victoria more than 30 times) and exhibitors from all over the world from its opening on May 1 to its end on October 15 of 1851. Among the 13,000 exhibits inside were the world’s first flush toilets, an early precursor to the fax machine, new advances in printing presses, steel manufacturing displays, a barometer powered by leeches, the Koh-i-Noor diamond (the world’s largest diamond at the time), and other exotic curiosities from around the world in general and the British Empire in particular.
