Obv.: D N HONORI-VS P F AVG, draped and cuirassed bust right, wearing pearl-diadem Rev.: GLORI-A ROMA-NORVM / ANT A, Theodosius II standing between his father Arcadius and his uncle Honorius, all three in military attire holding spears. Theodosius II is depicted a little smaller than his father and uncle, like a teenager, but he was actually just a child or a baby. He was made Augustus and co-emperor with Arcadius just a few days after being born and was aged 6 when his father died. He was officially said to have issued his first executive order on the very day of his baptism in 402, ordering that the last pagan temple in the empire, the temple of Zeus Marnas in Gaza, be closed and destroyed.
